Meet The Board

Jay is the proud co-founder of Farm to Stable Sanctuary, an organization that has been close to her heart long before its creation. From a young age, Jay’s passion for working with animals has driven every aspect of her life. Her journey has been a long one with many different careers, life adventures, and experiences.
Her lifelong dedication to animal welfare eventually culminated in the founding of Farm to Stable Sanctuary, where Jay strives to create a safe, loving, and compassionate environment for as many animals as possible. With a heart committed to both the well-being of animals and the community, she continues to work tirelessly to ensure that the sanctuary remains a haven for those in need.
Jay’s vision for the sanctuary is to not only provide a refuge for animals but also to inspire others to embrace compassion and empathy for all living beings. Whether through hands-on care or community outreach, Jay is determined to make a lasting impact on the lives of animals and people alike.

Syd is the other proud co-founder of Farm to Stable Sanctuary, where her deep-rooted love for animals and hands-on experience play a key role in the sanctuary’s success. Growing up as a “horse girl” in a rural community, Syd was always surrounded by animals, and if they weren’t there, it never quite felt like home. From caring for and competing with horses in barrel racing to developing a broad range of practical skills, her hands-on experience is invaluable to the sanctuary.
Syd brings a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise that is critical to the sanctuary’s day-to-day operations. Her commitment to the well-being of both animals, people, and the health of their environments is the driving force behind her work. Syd envisions Farm to Stable Sanctuary as a safe and inclusive space where people can come together to improve the community and the lives of all those involved—human and animal alike.
The sanctuary is incredibly fortunate to have Syd’s unwavering dedication and passion steering it forward.

Samantha lives in California with her wife Jaqi and her two kids Nova & Jasper. Even though she is far away she is sending love and support all the way to Farm to Stable Sanctuary! She has been there every step of the way so far from helping us pick our name to the logistics of getting up and running. We are excited to have her on the board with all her experience in leadership, financial savvy, and overall business knowledge!  Sam is an animal lover and can’t wait to help us achieve our goals and make a difference!

Matney currently lives in Portland, OR with his wife Tyler and fur babies! Matney grew up in an area where animals were neglected, which motivated him to become active in the rescuing community! He is a firm believer in if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Even though he cant be here all the time he will do anything to help the animals in need!
